How it works

How it works: obstacle, route, evidence, exit

Six steps from your first enquiry to a funded route with a planned way out.

See if you qualify →No credit check to enquire
  1. 1

    1. Tell us what's in the way (about 60 seconds)

The amount, the purpose, your state, any property and the obstacles you know about. Enquiring involves no credit check.

  2. 2

    2. A specialist reads your file and calls

A real person looks at what you've told us, then rings to fill in the gaps: what the bank said, what's owed, what you can offer instead.

  3. 3

    3. We map the route

We explain which route fits, what the lender will need, the honest trade-offs and the realistic cost in dollars. If funding won't help, we say so.

  4. 4

    4. We agree the exit

Before anything is signed, we write down how the loan ends: refinance, sale or trading, with dates and a plan B.

  5. 5

    5. One matched application

Your file goes to one suitable lender, not a crowd. Only now, with your consent, does a credit check happen.

  6. 6

    6. Settlement and payouts

Funds are paid to you or directly to the ATO, creditors or providers being cleared. Then the work on the exit begins.

Why we plan the exit before anything is signed

Specialist and short-term funding is valuable because it solves a problem the bank wouldn't. It's also more expensive than bank lending, which is why it should be temporary. Agreeing the exit upfront keeps the loan the right size and the right length, and gives the lender the confidence to look past a difficult credit history. See our exit plans hub for how each exit works.

What you can do before you call

  • Run the solution finder to see which routes usually suit files like yours.
  • Gather three to six months of business bank statements and an ATO statement of account.
  • Note any property, its rough value and what's owed on it.
  • List every existing loan and cash advance, with repayments.

Common questions

Does enquiring affect my credit score?

No. Asking which route could work doesn't involve a credit check. A check only happens once you decide to proceed with a specific lender.

Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?

No. We match your file to one suitable route and lender. We don't broadcast enquiries.

What should I have ready for the first call?

Roughly how much you need and why, recent business bank statements if you have them, your ATO position, details of any property and existing loans, and what any bank told you.

How long does it take?

It depends on the route, the lender, any valuation and how quickly documents come together. Having the core documents ready is the single biggest thing you can do to keep things moving.

Do I have to proceed after the first call?

No. The first conversation is to work out whether there's a sensible route. You decide whether to go ahead.

Ready? Start your 60-second enquiry, and please answer as accurately as you can so we can match you properly first time.

Find the route that fits your file

Tell us what's in the way. No credit check to ask, no mailout to a crowd of lenders, and a specialist who calls with a plan and an exit.
